Technology in justice has surpassed the conventional promise of increasing efficiency as a tool of justice system stakeholders. The capacity of information technology to directly impact decision-makers; to communicate and share information with litigants, attorneys, and the public; and to measure performance has altered the trajectory of technology adoption. Technology has become a driver of change.
The Justice Management Institute (JMI) is fully committed to harnessing technology to improve justice outcomes and increase access to justice. We are experts in helping organizations plan, design, and build core mission applications such as case management systems, business intelligence, web-based technologies, and social media. We understand the challenge of large technology projects, too much information, and change management. JMI offers education and training and technical assistance in justice technology. In addition, we are working with partners to build shared data repositories across jurisdictions to enable evidence-based research.
