JMI consists of two divisions: Justice Management and Justice Technology. The two work collaboratively, as they share the same ultimate objective to improve the administration of justice. Each addresses the organization, policies and practices, and communication within the agencies and stakeholder groups at every level of the adjudication process.
The difference between the Justice Management and Justice Technology Divisions lies mainly in how they deliver solutions.
- The Justice Management Division drafts detailed reports and provides training and technical assistance to explain, step-by-step, how to best implement recommendations made after careful analysis.
- The Justice Technology Division introduces information technology strategies and materials, while offering training and technical assistance to help utilize technology most effectively and efficiently in the justice field.
With each division having a different primary focus from the other, JMI approaches projects from an all-inclusive perspective and is able to achieve the best work product possible.
