Frankin Cruz

Franklin Cruz, Senior Program Manager, joined the JMI team in August 2011. Franklin is an experienced educator and program development expert. He has spent most of the past decade working at The Bronx Defenders, where he has been integrally involved in the development of its nationally-renowned holistic defense model, as well as its programs and services. As Chief Operating Officer, he has also developed the organization’s internal capacities in the areas of finance, operations, information utilization, program development, and evaluation.

Franklin has also produced professional learning programs for K-12 school leaders at both district and state levels. At TEACHSCAPE, a San-Francisco-based company serving instructional leaders nationwide, Franklin created and revised training program content, including scope and sequence, session plans for professional developers, and training materials. Franklin received his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Brown University and holds a Master of Public Policy Degree from the University of California, Berkeley.
